Pharmacy Technician Career Services and Planning

Everest’s Pharmacy Technician graduates have the benefit of our Career Services team. The Career Services department has a strong network of employers who know the value of our graduates. We’ll connect you with job listings and help fine-tune your résumé and practice interviewing techniques. We can help you with career planning and placement.

Although no one can guarantee placement, students can improve their chances of finding an entry-level position with the help of a Career Services representative. By being a contributing participant in your own career planning efforts, you can greatly increase your own opportunities.

Job Search Tool and Strategies: It all starts with the job search. Everest has a search tool to help you navigate the list of job opportunities. We can also work with you on using mainstream job boards and online search tools.

Résumé Preparation: Learn how to write and critique a quality résumé that can showcase your skills, education and motivations to get you noticed by prospective employers.

Job Interview Techniques: Once you have that first job interview, we can help you master interviewing techniques and rehearse job interview questions.

Dressing for Success: It’s important to look the part. We can help you choose interview-appropriate attire and guide you on assembling a professional wardrobe for when you secure your first job.

Arranging Externships: Before you can walk, you have to learn how to crawl. Our graduates have the benefit of working in their chosen field through externships. An externship can help you apply all that you have learned in the classroom and allow you to gain real-world experience.

Some important things to consider for a successful job search and career placement include:

  • Always be punctual
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Always make a good first impression
  • Know your strengths and weaknesses
  • Be willing to learn from mistakes
